We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a start-up environment and wants to help us build efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and code. You will bring your expertise and understanding in deploying and automating the delivery of modern SaaS platforms at scale.
🌎 Provision infrastructure and tooling required to deliver the Assured platform, from scaling existing products to launching novel infrastructure to support entirely new products and initiatives
👩💻 Create automated tooling to configure and maintain our platform and services with an eye for consistency and repeatability
👷 Build sustainable methods for monitoring, managing, and scaling our platforms and services
🛠️ Collaborate with our security team to assess, suggest, and execute strategies ensuring compliance with security regulations and industry best-practices
🍌 Foster the ongoing development and adoption of observability best practices within the platform
🚦 Respond to and help mitigate any incidents that may arise, employing a swift and effective incident response strategy to maintain the stability and availability of the platform

❌ Not required: Specific technology or programming language background. We are relatively technology-background agnostic. We believe great engineers are great engineers, and that the technologies we use will continue to evolve with the team and challenges we face. In Assured’s codebase today, you’ll find: Node.js (Typescript), Python, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Terraform and we work with AWS, Docker, and Linux servers.

⚙️ Evolve a best-in-class infrastructure-as-code approach to deploying and managing services at Assured
🔌 Develop and foster observability and alerting best practices across multiple applications, including selecting technical approaches, developing SLOs, developing buy-in across the engineering organization, and training teams in implementing new practices
👾 Collaborate with our security team to enact changes that establish a cohesive environment in line with industry-recognized security guidelines
⚖️ Help maintain the stability of the platform by responding to incidents using an established incident response protocol, as well as partaking in or leading incident retrospectives
