It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct—costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join our growing team!

You will...

🌎 Help build and lead a high-caliber team of engineers working on launching core products, software, and features while guiding their growth and success

🔺 Proactively anticipate and address challenges associated with rapid growth, such as scaling engineering teams, infrastructure, and processes

👷 Provide team members with clear performance objectives and goals, offering effective feedback and coaching in their ongoing development

🥇 Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide mentorship, guidance, and support for their professional growth while gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and aligning individual goals with team and company objectives.

🏎️ Work closely with stakeholders and leaders to deliver software efficiently, safely, and predictably

🎖️ Ensure that technical decisions meet our quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security goals while promoting a high level of engineering excellence

🛵 Implement strategies for organizational scalability, including workforce planning, talent development, and resource allocation, to support sustained growth and innovation

🤝 Encourage a culture of collaboration throughout the organization, fostering alignment and promoting adaptability and resilience. Empower teams to navigate ambiguity with confidence, fostering a shared sense of responsibility and ownership

You have...

📅 A proven track record of 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

📈 A background working at a high-growth scaling startup where you’ve grown and led teams

📊 A knack for paying close attention to detail and a passion for building products to the highest standards across many dimensions (user experience, performance, reliability, security, etc.)

🧑‍🔬 Skill in establishing goals and deliverables, and the ability to keep key partners informed throughout the product development lifecycle

🔍 Expertise in attracting, retaining, and growing phenomenal Software Engineering talent

📈 Proficiency in defining your team’s vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding our customers’ needs
