Design Intern / Junior Designer (IN OFFICE-UTAH)

Parallel is looking for a versatile, self-starting designer to join us as our 9th team member. You’ll collaborate closely with our CEO and CPO (who’s also our founding designer) to shape how Parallel shows up—both in-product and in the world.

We're building a tool that brings clarity to startup finances. It's simple, opinionated, and built for founders who need to move fast. You'll help make that experience feel intuitive, modern, and thoughtful—from the dashboards our users explore to visuals that power our marketing & sales.

This role is a mix of product/UX design and brand/marketing work. Some days you might be crafting a new onboarding flow, other days you’re helping design pitch materials or improving our website. You’ll get exposure to high-impact projects across the company—and mentorship along the way.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to core product experiences—from early concepts to polished flows
• Support brand and marketing design needs: sales decks, landing pages, and more
• Help define how Parallel looks and feels across every touchpoint
• Give and receive feedback in regular design critiques
• Be part of a small, fast-moving team where no one says, “that’s not my job”

Who You Might Be

• A student, recent grad, or early-career designer looking to grow fast
• Strong visual instincts and an eye for craft, regardless of formal training
• Curious, self-driven & excited about startups (bonus if you’ve worked on side projects)
• Comfortable with ambiguity, fast context switches, and learning new tools on the fly
• Interested in both product and brand work & not precious about switching between them

Logistics & Compensation

• Location: In-person, just off the freeway in Lehi, UT
• Schedule: Flexible hours depending on your availability and experience
• Compensation:
• Internship: $20–$25/hour depending on experience
• Junior Designer (early-career, full-time eligible): $50K–$65K/year
• College credit is available if needed
