Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO and play a pivotal role in analyzing data, identifying potential security threats, and enhancing the performance of our platform. Your primary responsibility will be to dive deep into our information environments, discover trends, vulnerabilities, and potential threats, and contribute to strengthening our cyber defenses

What you will do
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Create detailed reports and presentations, and deliver findings from Zafran’s platform directly to the CEO:
- Analyze and monitor data within our cybersecurity platform to identify potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies.
- Analyze usage data during the POC phase (using FullStory) to identify key use cases, leveraging these insights to create a compelling POV wrap-up deck to lay the foundation for closing deals.
- Regularly provide key stakeholders with proactive, periodic reports highlighting Zafran's ongoing value, such as measurable improvements like a sustained decrease in risk scores.
Threat Assessment and Security Solutions:
- Conduct threat assessments, vulnerability analysis, and incident investigations based on data findings.
- Conduct in-depth research on various threat landscapes, using this knowledge to innovate and develop cutting-edge security solutions.
- Work closely with backend systems to read, interpret, and analyze security-related information and logs.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on data analysis, vulnerability assessments, and threat detection.
- Experience working with security platforms to identify vulnerabilities, analyze data, and detect threats.
- Ability to collect, process, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights, particularly within the realm of protocol research.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages relevant to protocol analysis.
- Experience with network/security-related data analysis.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders, including the CEO.
- Experience in managing multi-departmental interactions with cybersecurity professionals, engineering teams, and product managers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think analytically and provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
Experience with the following is a plus
- Extensive experience in GO/ Python programming languages
- Experience as consultant in one of these companies is benefit: Mandiant, kpmg, delloite, one of the big 4.
- Training of ACHAM or AA'M, Kammamber
- Experience with Military Intelligence threat analysis - Plus
- Based in New York Metropolitan area - Plus
